Karistos Project - Overview

This development project is in Karistos, a modern and lively city in the south part of the island Evia. Evia is the second largest island in Greece connected via a hanging bridge with the southern part of the country mainland and offers a unique diversity of landscape. The city of Karistos is the capital of the southern part of the Evia island. The construction site is situated in a quiet location, with exceptional view (as shown above), only 3 mins from the city centre, the beach and sea front.

GETTING THERE The southern part of Evia is in close proximity to the city of Athens. Therefore Karistos benefits from short travel times to Athens but also from the many alternative ways of getting there. By Boat There are two ways available to get to Karistos by boat from Athens. Therefore access by boat to the city is guaranteed even in rare occasions where due to weather conditions a scheduled particular service might be postponed.
1. ATHENS (RAFINA)-MARMARI Scheduled car/passenger ferry service connects the port of Rafina in Athens with the city of Marmari in Evia. The boat trip lasts 1 hour. The service runs approximately 6 times a day on weekdays and 8 times day on weekends. The port of Rafina is located 15 minutes from the Athens Airport via the Airport to Athens ring road ('Attiki Odos'). There is an operating scheduled bus service connecting the airport to port. Alternatively there is the option of renting a car (that can boarded on the ferry) in one of the many agencies at the airport. The city of Marmari is located 10 minutes from Karistos. A scheduled bus service connects the port of Marmari to Karistos. There is also a bus stop in walking distance of the project location. 2. AGIA MARINA-STIRA Scheduled car/passenger ferry service connects the port Agia Marina in Athens directly with the city of Stira. The boat trip lasts 45 minutes. The port of Agia Marina is located 30 minutes from the Athens Airport by car. The town of Stira is located approximately 30 minutes by car from Karistos. Total trip duration: 2 hours
By Car The capital of the island of Evia, Chalkida, is connected with the mainland of Greece by a hanging bridge. Therefore, Karistos can be reached by car. Total trip duration: 2 hours and 40 minutes
