About Marathon
The project is located on the east coast of the Attica Peninsula next to the beach of Schinias. The closest city is Marathon, the site of the great battle between the Athenians and the Persian army in 490 BC. The battle is also famed for the fleetness of the Athenian runner, Pheidippides, who was dispatched to Athens with news of the victory and fell dead from exhaustion after delivering the message to the city; thus the name 'Marathon' was given to long-distance running races. This was the start of the Marathon race in the 2004 Olympics.
The project location combines unique features making it a wonderful place to live in, enjoy the summer holidays or visit on breakaways throughout the year.
Close proximity to Athens & Area Infrastructure
The centre of Athens is less than an hour away and the airport less than half due to the newly constructed transport infrastructure the northeast area of Attica. The whole east coast of Attica is growing rapidly. The area a typical location for Athenian day-trippers has attracted the last couple of years population that have made it a permanent residence. Thus at the same time you can enjoy all the benefits a busy metropolis has to offer and the relaxed lifestyle of a sea-side area.
Easy access to exquisite beaches.
The beach of Schinias is one of the most popular and beautiful beaches in Greece with a picture-perfect coastal pine forest that reaches the water's edge and the fine sand of the beach. The beach is safe for children and offers a variety of options from quiet sandy shores with traditional taverns to the more trendy organised beaches that offers water-sports facilities, cafes and restaurants by the sea. Moreover, the are other lovely beaches within close vicinity of the project location in the Nea Makri region.

From sea-side cafes, restaurants, lounge and hip bars and trendy clubs, open-air cinemas, museums, archeological and sight-seeing locations the area offers many choices to satisfy every lifestyle. This combined with the close proximity to the city of Athens make the available options unlimited.
